Director
Tim
Schumacher took over directing duties in 1991 and has continued in the same
position to the present. Schumacher has been a vocal music instructor for more
than 20 years at public schools and colleges.
He has taught at Estherville
Lincoln Central High School and at Iowa Lakes Community College. He has a
bachelor’s degree in music education from Wartburg College, a master’s degree
from the University of Denver, and ABD from University of Iowa doctoral program.
Accompanist
Glenn
Henriksen, an accomplished piano and organ performer, has been the
accompanist for the Many Voices Choir since 2000. Glenn attended Luther
College then returned to the family farm in Armstrong.
Equally talented on the piano and organ, Glenn plays a variety of
musical venues around the area, including many special events. He also
plays keyboard with the 50s-60s band, Galaxy. He enhances the choir’s
performances with special music before and after the concerts. |
